A Little About Us

I have always loved animals. When I was 10, my family started raising Goldens and I loved my dog. I trained and showed in 4-H, I took care of her puppies and I cried when we sold them.

   I grew up and I married a wonderful man who happens to be allergic to most animals... We found the Standard Poodle and couldn't be happier.

       We Fell in love with the Standard Poodle because:

1) They are Hypoallergenic (at least they don't cause problems for my husband),

2) They are a large Breed

3) Ours are very calm

4) They are great with kids

5) Ours are very eager to please and easy to train

6)They are athletic. 

7) They adapt well to any lifestyle, at any stage in life

   Our Poodles love to be with us, doing whatever we do. They like to do agility and pull the sled or the stroller when we go on walks. And they love to go to the woods and explore. We raise all our puppies in our home in Elk, WA. The dogs, in turn, are raising our kids with us.

   Now our children are in 4-H and training and showing their dogs. The kids also do a lot of the grooming on their dogs and are a great help while with the puppies' grooming as well. 

   Standard Poodles' main drawback is, of course, grooming. They require clipping and using a groomer is expensive but I learned to groom myself and you can too. And, I really enjoy giving them different looks and styles. It does take time and I sometimes still give them a funny look occasionally but they are well worth the effort!
